after T6 was such a big dissapointment I don't see the point of buying T7

After playing it for a while, I came to the conclusion that Tekken 6 was a flop. I will not be buying Tekken 7. It'll be a rental at best.

So you gigantic Tekken fans are gonna leave the series after one flop game? It is pretty big to make 5 games of the exact same series and not have a flob at all. I wasn't THAT suprised by Tekken 6 being an average yet boring to play game.
You shouldn't be too quick about not buying it. How about after it comes out, listen to some reviews, and then make the choice of buying it?

Tekken 4 was a flop aswell

Tekken 4 wasn't a flop. It was as good as any other Tekken game. It just had alot lesser characters which put people off the game.

I will definately buy it no matter what.

For one, I never claimed to be a gigantic Tekken fan. Second, how about you let me do what I want with MY money? In my opinion, there hasn't been a truly good Tekken game since 3. I'm not going to spend $60-$80, or whatever the hell new games cost by the time it comes out, on Tekken 7, when Tekken 6 sucked so bad. I don't listen to reviews, and I don't listen to critics. It's far more pragmatic to rent a game that you're not sure about rather than buying it and then ending up selling it for not even half of what it's worth. Besides, when a game series has a major flop, it often goes downhill from there.

Tekken 3 and 5(DR) are awesome
TTT T2 T1 are good
T4 and T6 failed

It is way too early for me to even think about getting Tekken 7 yet. I haven't even had Tekken 6 for one year and the gameplay is the most balanced in the series yet as far as I know.

Just what exactly made people think Tekken 6 was a failure?

Bad game mode representation?

They haven't seen Virtua Fighter 5's game mode representation, which consists of Arcade, Versus, Customisation and Quest mode (add Online for X360 version). Things could be worse if you ask me.

Tekken 4 was bad for high level play. It was broken as hell, infinity in walls and all that.

The game was a flop there, but not exactly on casual play, I guess.
