A Nintendo Thread
Having Nintendo DS, GameCube and Wii, it could only make sense for me to create this topic.
So, basically talk about any Nintendo system and any Nintendo game and that sort of stuff...
Come on, you must've played a Nintendo game at some point, whether it's-a-Super-Mario, Legend of Zelda or Metroid.
Do you have any Nintendo console? Have you had one? What games do you have for them? What Nintendo games you like the most? What Nintendo games you dislike the most?
Currently, I prefer...
Mario Kart
Looking forward to Mario & Sonic at the Winter Games. Metroid: Other M looks cool too. Also, the Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days is definetly going to be on my "to get"-list.

Re: A Nintendo Thread
Nintendo was one of the first games developers to create their own consoles. Their first release was the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) then that was follow up by the SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System), Nintendo 64 followed suit after that then we came to the recent Nintendo Game Cube. Wii is the current Nintendo console.

Yeah, I once had NES too... Luckily Wii has Virtual Console feature which you can use to play retro Nintendo games you've downloaded from Wii Shop Channel.greekman wrote:i have the first Nintendo console!! i'll sell it to a museum lool

Re: A Nintendo Thread
Retro games are excellent. I still play the first Legend Of Zelda or Final Fantasy if I have time. The graphics can't hold a candle to what we have today. But it's the soul of the game which makes it playable.

Re: A Nintendo Thread
You're damn right about that. I prefer Mario Kart 64 over the recent one, Mario Kart Wii.Liquid_Snake wrote:Retro games are excellent. The graphics can't hold a candle to what we have today. But it's the soul of the game which makes it playable.
Re: A Nintendo Thread
Well, kind of. Mostly when games get ported to Wii, they look(and are probably) poor.kazamafan15 wrote:Wii graphics are almost Retro
But when looking at 1st party titles, like Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, you'll get a different thought about Nintendo Wii's capabilities. Developers just need to utilize Wii's capabilities well to make the game look sweet and awesome to play(gameplay). Tatsunoko vs Capcom definetly looks sweet and awesome game to play. I am definetly getting that game someday.
Re: A Nintendo Thread
I agree with you but when I take a PS3 exclusive I think right away wow Wii Graphics are bad
Re: A Nintendo Thread
Yeah, Wii doesn't really stand out in grapichs when compared to "the big boys".kazamafan15 wrote:I agree with you but when I take a PS3 exclusive I think right away wow Wii Graphics are bad
But Nintendo wasn't really aiming for pixel-perfect-high-defintion in the case of Wii - They focus on gameplay. Not a bad direction if you ask me. As long as grapichs stay appropriate, I won't complain. It's just that Wii doesn't have much promising titles and that Wii ports suck.
Re: A Nintendo Thread
The Wii ports mostly look like there PS2 brother version.
It certainly wasn't but now the PS3's new controllers will be alot (very) much like the Wii remote control what does the wii have left then?

They still have Super Mario and the rest of Nintendo-exclusive cast.kazamafan15 wrote:but now the PS3's new controllers will be alot (very) much like the Wii remote control what does the wii have left then?

You mean hardcore gamers? =Okazamafan15 wrote:But most Hardcore games aren't intrested by these titles neither am I
And what titles you exactly mean? The ones JChangDoppelganger mentioned? They're pretty old...
Re: A Nintendo Thread
GameCube is an AWESOME console! Too bad it's lifespan basically ended after the release of Wii. I got the Pearl White edition of it a few years back. The deluxé.JChangDoppelganger wrote:The Gamecube was O.K.
It has great games and there are many games I want to get my hands on, which include Mario Power Tennis, Sonic Adventure 2: Battle and Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door.
Re: A Nintendo Thread
atleast Nintendo had more respect for the Gamecube when the wii came out then Microsoft with the Xbox when the 360 came out
Re: A Nintendo Thread
Hmm... They did? Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was originally made for GameCube... But the circumstances at that time, the Wii version was decided to be made as well. Zelda: Twilight Princess was the last game for GameCube, old XBox titles are available to download for your X360 at Marketplace, so probably Microsoft has thought about more XBox after the release of X360 than Nintendo their GameCube after the release of Wii. Then again, Wii has the backwards compability just like X360 and 60 GB models of PS3, so... Uh... I don't know.kazamafan15 wrote:atleast Nintendo had more respect for the Gamecube when the wii came out then Microsoft with the Xbox when the 360 came out
